As a Lead Engineer, Andrew is responsible for mechanical design and project management from conceptual stages through preliminary manufacturing.

Prior to joining Smithwise, Andrew worked as a mechanical and process engineer at Incredible Foods Inc. where he led electromechanical machine design of production lines on both prototypical and national scales. Other notable projects of his include thermoelectric energy harvesters for engine exhausts and domestic boilers, as well as mechanical control systems for military watercraft. Since joining Smithwise, Andrew has been involved in all phases of product development from refining concepts to designing for manufacturing and clinical trials.

Andrew has experience with a range of electromechanical system designs, allowing him to bring a creative and grounded approach to technical design and strategy. His comprehensive and diverse experience enables him to work effectively with Smithwise’s dynamic client base and help customers realize their concepts.

Andrew holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. In his free time he can be found hiking, playing soccer, or making upgrades to his small engine motorcycles.
