Dylan’s working knowledge of CAD design in Solidworks has allowed him to pursue projects utilizing CNC machining, extruding, injection molding and 3D printing. Outside of his work at Smithwise, Dylan has worked on the design of surgical tools and implants for spinal deformities. His recent work with Smithwise includes an implantable assistive pump to treat heart disease symptoms and an artificial womb to improve care for neonate infants.
Dylan has spent his career developing a versatile skillset in engineering design. Between his professional and personal pursuits, he has gained expertise in the design of medical devices, commercial products, automotive builds, manufacturing tooling and fluidic systems. At Smithwise, Dylan specializes in the detailed design and development of products and devices. He is involved in every aspect of the development process from physical prototyping to final production designs.
Dylan Holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, where he completed the 5 year Co-op program. Dylan lives in Philadelphia and enjoys spending his free time with friends, traveling, rock climbing, and skiing.
